The European Social Fund/Europees Sociaal Fonds (ESF) invests in labour market opportunities and qualitative careers with Flemish and European support. ESF is a European initiative aimed at promoting employment in Europe.
Endorsing skill development is a high priority on the agenda for which the ESF reserves funding.
It is this pillar which captured the interest of Kuehne+Nagel. The ESF project Future of work (2021-2022) builds further on the ESF projects "NextGen Logistics workers" (2018-2020) and "The connecting role of HR" (2017-2018). All projects are a practical application of the KN+NextGen strategy.
The Future of work program aims to further prepare our workforce for the challenge of the future by promoting trainings related to:
- Digital skills: acquiring new digital skills crucial to evolve with technological evolution of hybrid working environments
- Social skills & collaboration: online collaboration, communication & meeting organization, virtual leadership, online customer relationship building
- Self management: supporting employees in their self organizational skills and mental & physical well-being in a hybrid working context.
