The connecting role of HR: change focus from a ‘me’ to a ‘we’ perspective
Just like any other company, Kuehne+Nagel have a career policy: people are recruited, they receive training, change position, get a promotion, they exit the company on their own accord or they retire.
Kuehne + Nagel has 10 sites across Belgium which are driven by a local HR strategy, training organization and recruitment policy. To streamline the HR approach within Kuehne + Nagel, we want to change the focus from a ‘me’-perspective to a ‘we’-perspective.
Therefore existing HR policies will be standardized where possible and steered from a central point of view. This will support the sustainability of our career opportunities. The role of HR has evolved into a facilitating one: supporting and connecting employees by providing tools which matches their needs and accords with the company strategy.
Our career policy focusses on the mutual responsibility between the employer and the employee. People take control of their career and the company supports it. Together we look for the perfect work-life balance. We want to stimulate our employees to find a position which matches their interests, abilities and lifestyle.
